The sanding should be brought up to a full burnish after the 00 Cut. this can be done by burnishing a paper 100 grit with another 100 grit paper while the machine is running Drum sander such as 12'' American Clarke/ Lincoln.  Of course It can be done with 90 lb 16'' polisher with 120 sometime 150 grit.( see how the screen lines look). Trowelling of moisture cured urethane is the best by far..2 trowelled coats is best now the  masking tape will stick. ( do not leave any excess anywhere.) Game court markings can now be laid out taped, cut and painted .  tape lifted while wet touch ups and clean up 2 component epoxy paints need time to cure before MCU orM37 Moisture cured urethane can be applied screen with 220 grit in between coats. Keep in mind this is just an overview of the process and is incomplete  of subtle detail . Elementary school take  two weeks because of the drying time of the paint you should let this cure for a couple of weeks with good ventilation.
